About the Role
We are looking for an Operations Engineer to own the reliability of our data collection infrastructure, including deployment tracking systems, internal tools, recording hardware, and firmware. You will work closely with hardware engineering and field operations teams to troubleshoot issues, improve system reliability, and minimize downtime across collection sites.

Key Responsibilities
• Deployment Tracker: Own and maintain the deployment tracker, dashboards, database accuracy, equipment status, and data collection records.
• Internal Tools: Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot internal platforms, hardware dashboards, and vendor portals.
• Firmware Testing: Test firmware builds, manage staged rollouts, and resolve post-release issues.
• Hardware Troubleshooting: Test cameras, sensors, and recording kits; diagnose component-level faults and coordinate repairs or replacements.
• Calibration & Prototyping: Calibrate camera lenses and use 3D printing and basic CAD for fixtures, mounts, and prototypes.
• Testing & Documentation: Develop test plans, pass/fail criteria, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and rollout checklists.
• Field Support: Troubleshoot hardware, firmware,



software, and data collection issues across sites; coordinate with engineering and operations teams and train field teams on recent equipment.

Requirements:
• Experience maintaining internal tools, dashboards, tracking systems, or database-backed applications.
• Hands-on experience with electronics, embedded systems, firmware testing, or hardware debugging.
• Familiarity with 3D printing and basic CAD or mechanical design.
• Strong problem-solving, testing, and documentation skills.
• Clear written communication and the ability to work with technical and non-technical teams.
• Willingness to travel to collection sites when required. Nice to Have:
• Experience with cameras, optics, sensors, or lens calibration.
• Soldering, PCB troubleshooting, or board-level rework.
