Position Objective
- The COO executes the vision of the founder by taking end-to-end ownership of day-to-day business operations, enabling the founder to focus on strategy, brand development, key relationships and long-term growth. The mandate is to build a self-managed, accountable organization in which departmental leaders deliver results through clear ownership, robust systems and disciplined execution. Personal Attributes:

responsibilities:
• Business Operations and Leadership: Lead day-to-day functioning across Production, Design & Development, Finance, HR,



Administration and other designated functions. Translate the Founder’s priorities into plans, owners, timelines and measurable outcomes.
• Department and HOD Accountability: Set clear KRAs, KPIs, decision rights and performance expectations for HODs. Review delivery, address recurring delays or ownership gaps, and ensure each HOD independently manages departmental planning, execution and team performance.
• Systems and Execution: Build and enforce practical SOPs, workflows, approval mechanisms and dashboards. Ensure commitments, decisions, deadlines and follow-ups are documented and closed; improve operating efficiency, resource utilization and cost discipline.
• Production and Quality: Oversee production planning, capacity, manpower, material availability, timelines, quality systems and delivery commitments. Resolve bottlenecks and avoidable wastage while protecting product quality and the brand’s positioning.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Align Revenue, Production, Design & Development and support functions so that commercial commitments are feasible and delivered. Coordinate with Marketing on shared priorities and dependencies; Revenue & Marketing remains outside the COO’s direct functional control.
• Founder Independence and Decision-Making: Resolve routine operational matters within approved budgets, policies and delegated authority. Escalate only material risks, strategic choices and matters reserved for Founder approval, with facts and recommended solutions.



Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills Reporting and Decision Rights: All designated functions will report to the COO. Marketing & Revenue can remain outside the COO’s direct reporting and functional control, with coordination as required. The Founder retains overall strategic direction, brand vision, key relationships and reserved approvals. Major financial commitments, senior leadership appointments, significant organizational changes and material policy exceptions will follow the company’s approval framework. Functional specialists retain responsibility for their technical and statutory duties. Key Performance Indicators:
• Reduction in routine operational decisions and follow-ups requiring Founder involvement.
• Delivery of departmental commitments and improved HOD ownership.
• Adoption of SOPs, reporting systems and review discipline.
• Production planning, quality, delivery reliability, resource utilisation and cost performance.
• Fewer recurring cross-functional delays and stronger operating continuity

Experience:
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in operations, business leadership, manufacturing or general management.
• Preferred candidate with entrepreneurial experience ideally as an entrepreneur, founder, co-founder or business builder, or a demonstrable track record of building and scaling a business with high ownership and accountability.
• Experience leading multiple functions through HODs, with ownership of operating systems, budgets, production or delivery, and cross-functional execution.
• Hands-on, commercially astute and data-driven; able to make decisions, solve problems, enforce accountability and operate effectively in a rapid-paced, founder-led environment. Job Location/Hours: This position is based in Jaipur, with occasional travel required.
