Overview Ship Stores & Spares under Cart2Port Services Pvt. Ltd., is a brand for Buying & Selling of Ship Supplies to end users Ship Owners, Ship Managers, Port Managers and Shipyard Owners. We are seeking an active and knowledgeable Purchase Executive. The desired candidate should have at least one year experience in a similar rank in ship owning/ship managing company or any marine procurement. The candidate should show robust procurement skills with proven achievements, manage purchase budgets, and have strong verbal and written communication skills. Responsibilities
• Vendor Management – Identify suitable and approved vendors for sending RFQs for deck stores, engine stores, electrical and automation equipment, navigation and communication spares, safety equipment, and other marine technical products
• Sourcing & Negotiation Skills
- Ability to secure the best prices and terms from vendors in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Gujarat, Goa, Chennai, Kochi, Kolkata/Haldia, Visakhapatnam, and other relevant port locations for providing quotations to clients
• Cost Control and Budgeting
- Managing purchase budgets and reducing procurement costs
• Inventory Management




- Ensuring optimal stock levels to prevent overstocking or shortages
• Relationship Building
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with reliable vendors, transporters, shipping agents, port agents, and clients
• Communication Skills – Having strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills
• Attention to Detail & Accuracy
- Ensuring purchase orders, invoices, and deliveries are accurate and timely by making end-to-end arrangements and resolving issues
• Procurement Software – Familiarity with procurement software and management systems Qualifications
• Graduate Engineer or Diploma Holder or Science (Preferably Marine or Mechanical or Electrical)
• Marine technical product knowledge, familiarity with Indian ports and at least 1 year experience in Marine industry is mandatory
• Knowledge of IMPA/ISSA codes
• Knowledge of Supply & Purchase Management
• Proficiency in MS Excel, verbal and written communication, and ERP
• Willingness, self-driven, on-field most times
