Role Description The Cyber Security Engineer will work full time in a remote capacity to protect IFI’s digital platforms, applications, and data assets. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring security events, identifying and mitigating threats, and implementing safeguards across applications, networks, and cloud environments supporting the reality show and its online experiences. The role involves conducting regular vulnerability assessments, managing incident response processes, and collaborating with engineering, product, and media teams to embed security in recent features and digital initiatives. The Cyber Security Engineer will develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and promote secure practices for internal and external stakeholders.



This position requires proactive threat hunting, continuous improvement of security controls, and clear communication of risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical team members. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong Application Security skills, including secure coding practices, code review, and protection of web and mobile applications.
• Candidates should possess core Cybersecurity and Information Security skills, including risk assessment, security architecture, policy development, and incident response.
• Candidates should possess Network Security skills, including firewall configuration, VPNs, IDS/IPS management, and secure network design.
• Candidates should possess Vulnerability Assessment experience, including scanning, analysis, prioritization, and remediation planning.
• Solid understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP) and familiarity with data protection and privacy regulations.
• Hands-on experience with common security tools (SIEM, endpoint protection, WAF, DLP, threat intelligence platforms) in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent practical experience; relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, CISSP, OSCP, Security+) are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and adapt to a fast-paced entertainment and media environment.
