Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Estimation Engineer role based in Vellore. The Estimation Engineer will prepare detailed quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) from drawings and specifications, and develop accurate cost estimates for civil and industrial construction projects. The role includes analyzing project requirements, coordinating with project managers and site engineers, and conducting market research on materials, labor, and subcontractor rates. The Estimation Engineer will support tender preparation, participate in negotiations with vendors and subcontractors, and update cost databases and estimation templates.



The position also involves monitoring project costs against estimates and providing timely reports and recommendations to management. Qualifications
• Civil Engineering knowledge with practical understanding of construction methods and materials.
• Solid BOQ preparation and Project Estimation skills for civil and industrial projects.
• Ability to conduct structured Research on market rates, vendors, and technical specifications.
• Negotiation skills for working with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software; familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools is an advantage.
• Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and strong analytical capabilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience in construction estimation or quantity surveying is preferred.
