Role Description The Pickleball Coach is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai, responsible for coaching individuals and groups in the fundamentals and advanced techniques of pickleball. Day-to-day activities include planning and conducting training sessions, demonstrating proper skills and strategies, and providing individualized feedback to help participants improve their performance and enjoyment of the game. The coach will organize drills, practice matches, and basic fitness routines, while promoting secure play, sportsmanship, and inclusive participation for learners of varying ages and skill levels. The role also involves maintaining equipment, coordinating session schedules, supporting events or clinics,



and communicating effectively with facility management and participants. Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of pickleball rules, techniques, and game strategy, with experience playing or coaching at a competitive or recreational level.
• Coaching and instruction skills, including the ability to plan structured training sessions and adapt methods to different ages and skill levels.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage participants, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive, inclusive environment.
• Basic sports fitness and injury-prevention awareness to guide warm-ups, cool-downs, and safe practice routines.
• Organizational skills for managing session schedules, coordinating group classes, and supporting events or tournaments.
• Ability to work on-site in Chennai with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
• Prior experience as a sports coach, physical education instructor, or trainer is preferred; certification in coaching or sports instruction is an advantage.
• Commitment to professionalism, punctuality, and maintaining equipment and facilities in good condition.
