Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE)

Remote ? Engagement Type: Contract (C2C) Position Overview We are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will own internal tools and integrations end-to-end, build AI/LLM-powered production features, and integrate data warehouses, BI tools, and third-party MCP servers.

Key Responsibilities
• End-to-End Ownership: Take charge of internal tools and integrations from scoping, design, and build to deployment and production support.
• AI/LLM Integration: Build AI and LLM-powered features into products and workflows, transitioning them seamlessly from prototype to reliable production.
• Data & System Integrations: Develop clean, well-documented interfaces and integrations with data warehouses, BI tools, and third-party MCP servers.
• Technical Documentation: Write clear design docs and RFCs prior to building and maintain up-to-date documentation.
• Mentorship & Quality: Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and design discussions while championing quality and testing standards.
• Autonomous Decision-Making: Make independent technical decisions and take full ownership of their outcomes. Minimum Qualifications
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.




• Strong programming experience in Python or Java building and shipping production services.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, data modeling, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on cloud platform experience (Azure preferred; GCP or AWS also acceptable).
• Hands-on Databricks experience (Spark, Delta Lake, and building production jobs or notebooks).
• Robust technical writing abilities (design docs, RFCs).
• Proven track record of full project ownership from concept to production.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring junior engineers. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience shipping production LLM features (Azure OpenAI or similar, RAG, prompt design, and evaluation).
• Experience integrating with data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse), BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), or MCP servers.
• Familiarity with Azure services (Functions, App Service, AKS, or Azure SQL).
• Experience with containerization and CI/CD pipelines (Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
• Startup background or experience working in small, high-ownership teams. ?
