Company Description Jobhedge Consultancy supports women and jobseekers in finding suitable employment and using their time effectively. The company provides buying and sourcing support from India across a wide range of textile merchandise, including home textiles, apparel for all genders, fabrics, and yarns. Jobhedge also supplies imported spare parts for weaving machines and offers specialized service for Dornier machines that are out of warranty. In addition, the consultancy delivers third-party inspection services at competitive prices through experienced and qualified inspectors. The organization focuses on reliable support, sector expertise, and practical solutions for clients and candidates. Role Description The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations across all business lines, including sourcing, textile merchandise, spare parts services, and inspection activities. The COO will lead operational planning, set performance goals, and ensure that processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. This role involves managing budgets, monitoring financial performance, and coordinating with business development and client service teams to maintain service quality and profitability. The COO will guide cross-functional teams, implement operational improvements, and establish metrics and reporting systems for continuous performance assessment.



The position requires close collaboration with senior leadership to shape long-term growth strategies and to support Jobhedge Consultancy’s mission of empowering jobseekers and delivering high-value services to clients. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong Business Planning and Strategic Management skills to define operational roadmaps and support organizational growth.
• Candidates should possess Operations Management and Process Improvement skills to oversee daily activities and optimize workflows across sourcing, services, and inspections.
• Candidates should possess Analytical Skills and Decision-Making capabilities to interpret data, assess risks, and drive evidence-based operational changes.
• Candidates should possess Finance and Budgeting skills to manage P&L;, control costs, allocate resources, and ensure sustainable financial performance.
• Relevant skills such as leadership, team management, stakeholder communication, and negotiation abilities are highly beneficial.
• Experience in textiles, manufacturing, supply chain, or consulting environments, preferably in operations-focused roles, is advantageous.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, operations, finance, or a related field is required; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work in office, prioritize multiple initiatives, and maintain high ethical and professional standards in a fast-paced setting.
