Role Description The Legal Engineer Intern role is a full-time, remote position focused on helping design, build, and optimize legal systems and workflows for Team Counsel’s clients. Day-to-day tasks may include mapping legal processes, assisting with contract lifecycle design, supporting playbook and template development, and documenting legal workflows and requirements. The intern will collaborate with legal, operations, and technology team members to translate legal needs into practical systems, including structured documentation, checklists, and automated workflows. The role may also involve research on legal operations best practices, basic data analysis related to contracts or processes, and quality assurance on system configurations and knowledge bases.



The Legal Engineer Intern will contribute to internal knowledge sharing and process improvement initiatives to strengthen Team Counsel’s legal infrastructure offerings. Qualifications
• Ability to understand and structure legal information, including contracts, policies, and workflows, with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Comfort working with technology tools and platforms (e.g., productivity suites, document management systems, workflow or automation tools) and willingness to learn new software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce explicit documentation, process maps, and concise summaries for legal and non-legal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, critical thinking, and a systematic approach to problem-solving, particularly in process or operations-related work.
• Interest in legal operations, legal technology, or contract management, ideally supported by relevant coursework, projects, or prior internship experience.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively across disciplines and time zones.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in law, business, information systems, or a related field; exposure to corporate, commercial, or startup law is an advantage.
• Experience with basic data analysis, process mapping, or project management methodologies is beneficial but not required.
