Role Description The Unit Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Varanasi, responsible for managing a sales unit and driving business growth for ICICI Life Insurance Limited. This role involves recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring insurance advisors or sales team members to achieve individual and team targets. The Unit Manager will plan and execute sales strategies, monitor performance metrics, and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines. Daily responsibilities include supporting advisors during client meetings, guiding them on product fit,



and overseeing the end-to-end sales process from prospecting to policy issuance. The role also requires maintaining strong customer relationships, resolving queries, and coordinating with internal departments to deliver quality service and meet business objectives. Qualifications
• Proven experience in sales, business development, or insurance distribution, ideally in life insurance or financial services.
• Strong people management capabilities, including team leadership, coaching, performance monitoring, and motivation.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to understand financial needs, explain insurance solutions clearly, and build long-term relationships.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in presenting, negotiating, and handling objections.
• Comfort with working towards targets, analyzing sales reports, and using basic digital tools or CRM systems to track performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a specialization in finance, business, or marketing is an advantage.
• Knowledge of life insurance products and regulatory norms, or willingness to learn quickly through training and certification.
• Ability to work on-site in Varanasi, travel locally for client and advisor meetings, and adapt to a energetic, goal-driven environment.
