AI Engineer Intern — Treva Bengaluru | On-site | Internship Fixed stipend: ₹15,000 per month | Six-day working week

About the role
Build AI-enabled web applications and SaaS features at Treva. We are looking for a hands-on builder who enjoys learning, writing code, and turning ideas into working products. Demonstrate your fundamentals through personal projects, coursework, or internships; extensive professional experience is not required.

What you'll do
• Build responsive, high-performance web apps using React and Next.js.
• Develop robust backend APIs and services and integrate AI/LLM APIs into product features.
• Prototype AI workflows and evaluate outputs, reliability, latency, and cost with team guidance.
• Model, query, and optimize SQL databases.
• Contribute to system design decisions and architecture discussions.
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code and review teammates' work.
• Debug production issues and improve performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with product and design to turn ideas into features. Must-have skills Frontend
• React: hooks, state management, and component design.
• Next.js: SSR, SSG, routing, API routes, and performance optimization.
• Solid JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Backend
• Building and consuming REST APIs; GraphQL is a plus.
• SQL: schema design, joins, indexing, and query optimization.




• Authentication, authorization, and API security fundamentals.
• Valuable grasp of data structures and algorithms.
• Understanding of caching, queues, background jobs, and rate limiting. System design and AI
• Ability to explain design choices for scalable, reliable systems.
• Foundational knowledge of databases, load balancing, distributed-system trade-offs, and failure handling.
• Familiarity with LLM APIs, prompting, structured outputs, and evaluating responses through a project or prototype.
• Ability to verify AI-generated code and explain and debug your implementation. Good to have
• Node.js, Python, or Go.
• RAG, embeddings, or vector databases.
• Redis, message queues, or microservices.
• AWS/GCP and Docker.
• CI/CD and automated testing.
