The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing press tools for sheet metal components, preparing tool designs using CAD software, and coordinating with outsourced vendors for tool manufacturing processes to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely completion.

Key Responsibilities
1. Design and develop press tools for sheet metal components as per product drawings and specifications. 2. Prepare 2D and 3D tool designs using SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo and AutoCAD. 3. Develop tool layouts, detailed component drawings, and manufacturing drawings. 4. Understand sheet metal part drawings, material specifications, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements. 5. Coordinate with outsourced vendors for VMC machining, wire cutting, hardening, and other tool manufacturing processes. 6. Follow up with vendors to ensure timely completion of outsourced operations as per the required specifications and schedules. 7. Monitor tool manufacturing, assembly, trials, and modifications to achieve the required component quality. 8.



Troubleshoot tool-related issues and implement necessary design modifications to improve tool performance. 9. Coordinate with Production, Quality, and NPD teams for new product development and successful tool implementation. 10. Ensure design accuracy, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to project timelines. 11. Maintain tool design drawings, revisions, and technical documentation. Required Skills &

Qualifications:
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Production Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4–7 years of experience in press tool design, preferably in sheet metal manufacturing.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal press tools, tool design principles, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience coordinating with outsourced vendors for VMC, wire cutting, hardening, and related processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, and material specifications.
• Good communication, vendor coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet project deadlines. Preferred Candidate Profile: A technically sound and proactive professional with hands-on experience in sheet metal press tool design, vendor coordination, and NPD activities in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
