Company Description MITTI Café is a non-profit organization that creates meaningful employment and experiential training opportunities for adults with physical, intellectual, and psychiatric disabilities. Operating over 40 cafes in locations such as the Supreme Court, major airports, corporate offices, colleges, and malls, MITTI Café teams have served more than 10 million meals and beverages. Each café also acts as a training hub, offering food, logistics, housing support, and stipends to trainees before they transition into placements. Through initiatives like MITTI Karuna Meals and MITTI Positive Gifts, the organization supports economically vulnerable families and showcases products from marginalized communities for global corporate clients. Role Description The Barista is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and snacks at MITTI Café. Day-to-day tasks include brewing coffee and tea, operating café equipment, and following recipes and hygiene standards for food and beverage preparation. The Barista greets guests, takes orders, manages billing, and provides attentive customer service to ensure a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.



The role also involves maintaining cleanliness of the café area, restocking supplies, and supporting team members during busy hours. The Barista may assist with basic inventory checks, contribute ideas to improve the guest experience, and actively uphold MITTI Café’s mission of dignity and inclusion at the workplace. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to engage respectfully and warmly with diverse guests and team members.
• Candidates should possess Barista skills, including beverage preparation, equipment handling, and basic café operations.
• Candidates should possess clear Communication skills for interacting with customers, coordinating with colleagues, and following instructions accurately.
• Candidates should possess Food Preparation skills, with an understanding of hygiene, safety, and consistency in taste and presentation.
• Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills; prior experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting is an advantage.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work flexible shifts, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
