Ahmedabad, Gujarat Position OverviewAshapuri Gold Ornament Limited is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Jewellery CAD Designer to transform artistic concepts into high-precision, production-ready 3D CAD models. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in jewellery manufacturing, stone setting, and metal casting with strong aesthetic judgment to create innovative designs that align with current market trends and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
• 3D Design & Modeling
• Convert hand sketches, mood boards, or concept images into precise 3D CAD models using industry-standard software (Matrix, Rhino Gold, CAD, or JewelCAD).
• Ensure designs comply with weight constraints, metal purity requirements, stone dimensions, and manufacturing standards.
• Technical Precision & Manufacturing Feasibility
• Calculate precise metal weights (e.g., 18K, 22K gold) and stone weights prior to casting.
• Account for shrinkage, tolerances, prong placements,



and structural integrity for seamless casting and hand finishing.
• Generate accurate rendering images and technical render sheets for customer approval and factory production.
• Trend Research & Innovation
• Stay updated on current jewellery trends, market preferences (Traditional, Contemporary, Antique, Lightweight Gold), and advanced CAD techniques. Key Requirements & Qualifications
•

Education:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Jewellery Design, Industrial Design, Fine Arts, or a related field. Professional certification in CAD software is highly preferred.
•

Experience:
2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Jewellery CAD Designer in a gold jewellery manufacturing environment.
• Software Proficiency: Mastery of MatrixGold, Rhino / RhinoGold, JewelCAD, or Blender (KeyShot / V-Ray for rendering is a plus).
• Technical Knowledge: Robust understanding of gold manufacturing processes (casting, soldering, stone setting, polish, and finishing) and metal weight estimation.
