Role Overview We are looking for an experienced D365 Functional Practice Lead with 20+ years of overall professional experience and solid expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O;). The candidate must have deep functional expertise in D365 Finance as the primary specialization, along with a good functional understanding of Supply Chain Management (SCM) as a secondary specialization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple D365 projects, leading functional teams, ensuring solution quality, managing client escalations, planning resources, and driving the growth of the D365 functional practice.

Key Responsibilities
1. Functional Practice Leadership
• Lead and oversee multiple D365 implementation and support projects.
• Provide functional direction and guidance to Finance and SCM teams, with a primary focus on Finance.
• Establish functional best practices, delivery standards, and implementation methodologies.
• Monitor project progress and ensure consistent delivery quality across engagements. 2. D365 Finance – Primary Expertise
• Demonstrate strong functional expertise in General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash and Bank Management, Fixed Assets, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Lead business requirement analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Oversee financial process design and ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Guide teams in resolving complex Finance-related functional issues and integration challenges. 3. D365 SCM – Secondary Expertise
• Possess a good functional understanding of procurement, inventory management, warehouse management, and supply chain processes.
• Oversee Finance and SCM integration requirements and cross-functional business processes.
• Guide SCM functional teams and support solution reviews when required. 4.



Solution Quality & Client Management
• Review functional solution designs and ensure adherence to D365 best practices.
• Manage client escalations, complex functional issues, and stakeholder expectations.
• Collaborate with technical teams, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
• Identify functional risks and implement appropriate solutions. 5. Team & Resource Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop functional consultants and team leads.
• Plan resource allocation based on project priorities, skills, and delivery requirements.
• Monitor team utilization, performance, and project delivery quality.
• Promote knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and functional capability development. 6. Practice Growth & Presales
• Contribute to the growth and strategic development of the D365 functional practice.
• Support presales activities, solution proposals, effort estimation, and client presentations.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes and develop reusable functional solutions.
• Build standardized practices to improve project efficiency and client satisfaction. Required Skills & Qualifications
• 20+ years of overall professional experience, with substantial experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX / D365 Finance & Operations.
• Strong functional expertise in D365 Finance, including end-to-end implementation experience.
• Good functional knowledge of D365 SCM and Finance–SCM integration.
• Proven experience overseeing multiple projects and leading functional teams.
• Strong capabilities in functional solution design, implementation governance, and quality assurance.
• Experience managing client escalations, resource planning, and stakeholder relationships.
• Exposure to presales, solution estimation, and practice development.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant Microsoft Dynamics certifications are an advantage.
