Role Overview Nomiso manages database and middleware services for a large telecom operator group across 15+ markets in India and South East Asia. As a Database Engineer, you will own live MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL databases—both on‑premise and cloud—that carry subscriber traffic. You will also handle data copies, migrations, and incident resolution. This is a hands‑on role requiring solid technical depth and an SRE mindset: automate repetitive work, tune alerts, and reduce repeat incidents.

Key Responsibilities
• Administer MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL databases in production (on‑premise and cloud).
• Troubleshoot replication lag, failovers, disk issues, and restore databases under time pressure.
• Perform data copies between environments and migrations (on‑premise to cloud, version upgrades).
• Optimize queries, manage backups/restores, and ensure high availability.
• Write and maintain runbooks, ensuring knowledge sharing across the team.
