About the Role
ZAPS Group is looking for an experienced Senior Node.js Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and backend development, with a focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote coding best practices.
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries using MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Use Git and follow version control best practices.
• Apply up-to-date software development principles and design patterns.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to a collaborative engineering environment. Required Skills & Qualifications




• 5+ years of qualified backend development experience, with a strong focus on Node.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Express.js or other popular Node.js frameworks.
• Experience in database design and management using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and API development.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Proficiency in Git and version control practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and work effectively within a team. Added Advantages
