Operating from our Ankleshwar facility, we execute complete in-house design, fabrication, inspection, and certification across ASME, TEMA, AD 2000 HP0, EN 13445, and PED codes for leading chemical, pharmaceutical, and energy clients worldwide. The RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented Costing & Estimation Engineer to serve as the commercial engine of our estimating department. Sitting at the intersection of Design, QC, Production, and Procurement, you will convert complex engineering inquiries into precise, competitive techno-commercial proposals.
Key Responsibilities
• RFQ & Proposal Management: Review RFQs, datasheets, and tender documents. Prepare BOMs, weight calculations, material take-offs, and complete equipment cost estimates.
• Technical Evaluation: Interpret GADs, Technical Comparison Sheets (TCS), and Technical Queries (TQs).
Identify scope deviations and cost implications early.
• Vendor & Supply Chain Coordination:
Float RFQs to approved vendors/subcontractors. Build comparison matrices, negotiate pricing, and secure committed material lead times.
• Cross-Functional Bridge: Review incoming POs against submitted bids and streamline order handovers across Design, Production, QC, and Commercial departments.
• Commercial Monitoring: Maintain RFQ registers, assist with receivables tracking, monitor project margins, and protect proprietary company data. What We Are Looking For
•
Experience:
3+ years in cost estimation for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, or heavy fabrication.
• Codes & Standards: Working knowledge of ASME BPVC Sec. VIII Div. 1, TEMA, PED, and ASME dimensional standards (B16.5, B16.9, B16.11, B36.10M/19M).
• Software: Advanced MS Excel (costing models, formulas, matrices) and other MS Office tools. Exposure to AutoCAD & PV Elite or COMPRESS is a plus.
• Competencies: Strong business English, effective vendor negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to closing out tasks. Why Join Us?
