About DiligentSquadDiligentSquad Technologies is an ecommerce systems integrator with more than 20 years of experience. We customise Intershop ecommerce platforms and deliver development, integrations and front-end work for several long-standing US partners and clients. Quality assurance is a core part of what we deliver. The roleYou will own the QA strategy and its execution across DiligentSquad's client-facing delivery. You will build a scalable, automation-first, AI-augmented quality function that cuts regression effort sharply without losing coverage of what matters to the business. You will lead and manage the QA team, stay hands-on with automation, and be the face of quality to our partners and clients. You are the single accountable owner of quality, and you hold both Dev and QA accountable for it. What you will do
• Define, publish and maintain the QA strategy, test architecture, test plan templates and quality standards for large commerce platforms such as Intershop or comparable systems, and see that every project follows them.
• Design risk-based regression for multi-brand and multi-tenant setups, where one engine serves many sites. Set tiers per client and per brand, so each change is tested for what it can actually affect.
• Own release sign-off and the quality gates: requirement, development, QA and UAT-ready.
• Lead test automation in Playwright (or equivalent) and integrate it into CI/CD pipelines. Write code yourself when needed, set coverage targets and grow a dedicated automation capability.
• Introduce and run AI-assisted testing, including AI-generated test design and test code, with transparent human review controls and validation against requirements.




• Work with Dev leads on unit testing and pre-QA validation, and set up Dev–QA sync checkpoints.
• Run defect management end to end: severity and priority, evidence, developer discussion, retest and closure.
• Give QA input into estimates, with development, build, QA and UAT effort stated as separate lines.
• Set up metrics and governance (defect leakage, test coverage, release gates, closure reporting) and report them to the partner in monthly and quarterly quality reviews.
• Communicate proactively with partner project managers and leadership, including early warning when something is at risk.
• Coach and grow the QA team, and hold Dev and QA to shared accountability for quality. What we are looking forRequired
• 12+ years in QA or quality engineering, including 5+ years leading QA teams.
• Proven test strategy work on large ecommerce or enterprise platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright or an equivalent automation framework.
• Experience designing risk-based regression for multi-tenant or multi-brand systems.
• Strong written and client-facing communication. Preferred

• Experience building or deploying AI-agent-assisted testing.
• CI/CD and API testing, including contract and performance testing.
