Overview The Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for managing and optimizing the databases supporting the MY Bharat Platform. The role involves overseeing database provisioning, performance tuning, backups, high availability, and security. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud-native databases, particularly Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, and Redshift, and will ensure the integrity, reliability, and scalability of data infrastructure for both web and mobile applications.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain production and development databases on RDS, DynamoDB, and Redshift.
• Ensure database availability, performance, and security across environments.
• Design and implement productive schemas, indexes, queries, and procedures to optimize database performance.
• Set up and manage backups, disaster recovery plans, and data replication across environments.
• Monitor database health and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime or data loss.
• Work closely with development teams to support database needs and troubleshoot data-related issues.
• Assist in data migration, transformation, and ETL processes across modules.
• Implement and maintain role-based access control and encryption mechanisms (e.g., AES-256).




• Manage database logs and integrate monitoring tools like ELK Stack and OpenSearch.
• Support DevOps in implementing CI/CD pipelines with database versioning and rollback capabilities.
• Perform audits, ensure compliance with data governance standards, and optimize cost for cloud resource usage.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in database administration and data management, preferably in large-scale applications.
• Experience managing databases on Cloud and working with cloud-native tools. Preferred

Skills:
• Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, and Redshift.
• Experience with RDS, database tuning, scaling, and optimization strategies.
• Familiarity with data encryption, Keycloak/JWT-based security, and secure access policies.
• Working knowledge of Docker, Jenkins, Git, and automated deployment workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL design, and data warehousing principles.
• Ability to collaborate across development, DevOps, and analytics teams in agile environments.
