Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP EWM Consultant with 6–12 years of overall SAP experience, including a minimum of 6+ years of strong hands-on experience in SAP EWM, to support complex warehouse and logistics operations within an Automotive/Manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong functional and configuration expertise across end-to-end SAP EWM processes, including inbound, outbound, internal warehouse movements, packing, replenishment, physical inventory, returns, RF operations, resource management, Transportation Unit (TU), and warehouse automation. The consultant will be responsible for understanding complex business and warehouse requirements, designing scalable EWM solutions, performing configuration, managing integrations, supporting testing and deployment, and resolving critical production issues. Strong experience in SAP EWM integration with ERP/S/4HANA, MES, and external warehouse automation systems is required. The candidate should have a strong understanding of high-volume warehouse operations and material movements specific to the Automotive industry. Roles & Responsibilities
• Design, configure, implement, and support end-to-end SAP EWM solutions based on business and warehouse operational requirements.
• Configure and support Inbound processes, including unloading, goods receipt, staging, and put-away.
• Manage Outbound processes, including picking, staging, packing, loading, and goods issue.
• Configure and support Packing Specifications, Handling Units (HU), and complex multi-level packing processes.
• Design and support replenishment processes across multiple plants/warehouses, including planned and automated replenishment scenarios.
• Configure and support internal warehouse movements, including RF-based Ad Hoc Bin-to-Bin and HU-to-HU transfers.
• Implement and support scrapping processes initiated from both EWM and ERP/S/4HANA, ensuring accurate stock synchronization.
• Configure and support Physical Inventory and Cycle Counting, including inventory difference handling and reconciliation.
• Design and maintain warehouse organizational structures, including storage types, storage sections, activity areas, bin structures, and bin sorting.
• Configure and support Customer Returns and Vendor Returns processes.
• Implement and optimize Slotting & Rearrangement processes to improve warehouse utilization and operational efficiency.




• Configure and manage Process Codes and Exception Codes for effective warehouse execution and exception handling.
• Support Transportation Unit (TU) functionality and integration with ERP Shipment processes, including staging, loading, and shipping activities.
• Configure and support Door Determination based on warehouse and transportation requirements.
• Design and support Deconsolidation processes, work centers, and related Handling Unit activities.
• Configure and optimize RF Queues, Queue Determination, Resource Management, and warehouse task assignments.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams on MES integration, production supply, material staging, and shop-floor-related warehouse processes.
• Support SAP EWM MFS integration with external warehouse automation systems, including automated material handling and warehouse equipment.
• Manage functional integration between SAP EWM and SAP S/4HANA/ERP, as well as relevant modules such as MM, SD, PP, and TM.
• Perform requirement gathering, business process analysis, solution design, functional specification preparation, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Lead/support SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and production support activities.
• Analyze complex EWM issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide effective functional and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with business users, warehouse operations, manufacturing teams, technical teams, integration teams, and other SAP functional consultants.
• Identify opportunities for warehouse process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure SAP EWM solutions align with Automotive industry processes, operational requirements, and SAP best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications
• 6–12 years of overall SAP experience, with a minimum of 6+ years of hands-on SAP EWM experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP EWM configuration, implementation, rollout, enhancement, and production support.
• Strong expertise in Inbound, Outbound, Put-away, Picking, Packing, Loading, Replenishment, Internal Movements, Physical Inventory, and Returns.
• Strong experience with Handling Unit Management, Packing Specifications,



and Multi-Level Packing.
• Hands-on experience with RF Framework, RF transactions, Ad Hoc Bin-to-Bin and HU-to-HU movements.
• Strong experience with Physical Inventory and Cycle Counting.
• Experience with Customer Returns, Vendor Returns, Scrapping, Slotting & Rearrangement, and Deconsolidation.
• Strong knowledge of Process Codes, Exception Codes, Warehouse Process Types, Storage Types, Activity Areas, Bin Structures, and Bin Sorting.
• Strong experience with RF Queues, Queue Determination, and Resource Management.
• Hands-on knowledge of Transportation Unit (TU) functionality, ERP Shipment integration, and Door Determination.
• Strong understanding of SAP EWM integration with SAP ERP/S/4HANA.
• Hands-on experience or strong knowledge of MES integration within manufacturing environments.
• Experience with MFS and integration with external warehouse automation/material handling systems is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of integration between EWM and SAP MM, SD, PP, and TM.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM and/or Decentralized EWM.
• Experience working on at least one end-to-end SAP EWM implementation/rollout is strongly preferred.
• Strong experience within the Automotive industry, preferably with an Automotive OEM, Tier-1, or Tier-2 supplier.
• Positive understanding of automotive manufacturing, production supply, material staging, high-volume warehouse operations, and warehouse-to-shop-floor integration.
• Strong functional design, configuration, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable and sustainable SAP EWM solutions.
• Excellent communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to independently manage assigned EWM workstreams and work effectively with business, functional, technical, MES, and integration teams.
