Role Overview We are looking for a skilled and driven Senior Google Cloud Engineer with 6+ years of hands-on technical experience to design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). In this role, you will work closely with software development, security, and DevOps teams to optimize cloud infrastructure, automate deployment pipelines, and champion cloud-native best practices. Key Responsibilities
• Cloud Architecture & Implementation: Design, provision, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-availability cloud environments using core GCP services (Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine/GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, etc.).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate resource provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• CI/CD & DevOps Automation: Build, maintain, and scale continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce rigorous security policies, IAM roles, VPC Service Controls, encryption standards, and network security architectures (Cloud Armor, firewalls, VPN/Interconnect).
• Monitoring, Logging & Reliability: Set up proactive monitoring, alerting, and logging systems using Google Cloud Operations Suite (Cloud Monitoring/Logging) to ensure high system uptime and rapid incident response.
• Cost Optimization: Regularly audit infrastructure usage, analyze cost drivers,



and implement resource right-sizing and lifecycle policies to optimize GCP spending without hurting performance.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate with cross-functional software engineering teams to assist in cloud-native application design, migration, and troubleshooting. Mentor junior engineers and document cloud infrastructure best practices. Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience:
6+ years of overall IT infrastructure and systems engineering experience, with at least 4+ years focused specifically on designing, deploying, and managing production environments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Core GCP Mastery: Deep working knowledge of GCP compute, networking, and storage primitives (VPC, Subnets, GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery).
• Containerization & Orchestration: Strong experience with Docker and production-grade Kubernetes (GKE) management, including service mesh and ingress controllers.
• Automation & Scripting: Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
• Networking & Security: Solid understanding of hybrid cloud networking (Cloud VPN, Interconnect, DNS) and cloud security frameworks (IAM, Secret Manager, KMS).
• Methodologies: Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments. Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications: Active Google Cloud Professional Certification (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, or Professional Cloud Network Engineer).
• Experience migrating large-scale enterprise workloads or data centers from on-premise environments to GCP.
• Familiarity with up-to-date observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
