Job description
Role Overview We are seeking a high-performing General Manager & Business Development Manager General Insurance (Candidates strictly from General Insurance Sales Background Corporate and SME) to spearhead corporate client acquisition and pipeline growth across Hyderabad and Telangana. In this role, you will engage business owners, CFOs, and risk managers to evaluate operational risks, structure optimal insurance coverage, and expand our market presence across corporate and SME segments.

Key Responsibilities
• Business Acquisition & Revenue Growth: Identify, prospect, and convert high-value business opportunities across SME, corporate, and MNC segments for general insurance lines.
• Risk & Coverage Assessment: Meet with prospective and existing corporate clients to analyze risk exposures and recommend tailored general insurance solutions.




• Pipeline & Deal Management: Manage the complete sales lifecyclefrom lead generation and proposal preparation to client negotiations and deal closure.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with internal underwriters, technical specialists, and claims teams to ensure accurate risk pricing, prompt policy issuance, and seamless renewals.
• Key Account Development: Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers, ensure high client retention, and drive business expansion through cross-selling and referrals.
• Reporting & Market Insights: Maintain active pipeline tracking via CRM systems, conduct local market research, and report sales performance metrics to leadership. Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or any relevant discipline.
•

Experience:
Minimum 5 years of dedicated sales and business development experience in General Insurance Corporate Sales (Mandatory, Excluding Health and Motor Insurance).
• Certification: Must be a certified Broker Qualified Person (QP). Additional insurance certifications are a plus.
• Domain Expertise: Robust command of general insurance products (Property, Engineering, Liability, Marine, Fleet, Group Health/Employee Benefits) and risk management concepts.
• Client Engagement: Proven track record of presenting to and negotiating with business owners, CFOs, and senior corporate management.
• Market & Language

Skills:
Deep familiarity with the local Hyderabad and Telangana commercial market. Fluency in English, Hindi, and Telugu is highly beneficial.
