About the Role
As a Chartering Manager, you will be responsible for managing chartered-in tonnage and cargo commitments, optimizing freight spreads, and maximizing voyage profitability. Responsibilities
• Manage chartered-in tonnage and cargo commitments
• Optimize freight spreads and maximize voyage profitability
• Execute Time Charter (TC), Voyage Charter (VC), and COA fixtures
• Negotiate charterparties with owners, brokers, and charterers
• Prepare voyage estimates and monitor P&L; performance
• Analyze freight markets and develop commercial strategies
• Build strong relationships with brokers, owners, and cargo interests
• Manage freight market exposure and operational risks Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in dry bulk chartering within an operator environment
• Proven experience managing chartered-in tonnage and cargo books
• Strong knowledge of Handy/Supramax markets; Panamax experience is an advantage
• Excellent understanding of charterparty negotiations, voyage economics,



and freight trading
• Proficiency in IMOS (VIP preferred) and voyage accounting systems
• Strong commercial, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Business, or a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Required Skills
• Strong expertise in dry bulk chartering

• Voyage optimization skills Preferred Skills
• Experience in Handy/Supramax and Panamax markets
• Proficiency in IMOS and voyage accounting systems
