About the Role
We are looking for a skilled PCB Design Engineer to join our R&D; team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in PCB design, electronic circuit development, hardware debugging, and reverse engineering. This role involves working on the design and development of electronic hardware for industrial and packaging equipment, from concept and schematic design to PCB layout, prototyping, testing, and validation. We are looking for someone who can go beyond PCB layout—someone who understands circuit-level functionality, identifies hardware issues, and develops practical, reliable solutions. If you enjoy solving complex electronic problems, analyzing existing hardware, optimizing circuit designs, and bringing new hardware concepts to life, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and optimize PCB layouts for industrial and packaging equipment.
· Perform schematic capture, component selection, circuit architecture development, and multi-layer PCB design.
· Design and debug analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronic circuits.
· Conduct hardware debugging, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting of electronic circuits and PCB assemblies.
· Perform reverse engineering of existing PCBs and electronic systems to understand circuit functionality and identify opportunities for improvement.
· Support the complete hardware development lifecycle, including design, simulation, prototyping, testing, validation, and design iterations.
· Apply best practices for signal integrity, power distribution, grounding, EMI/EMC filtering, and thermal management.
· Analyze circuit performance and implement design improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency,
and manufacturability.
· Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, product design, manufacturing, and quality teams during product development.
· Work with component suppliers, PCB fabrication houses, and assembly vendors to ensure design feasibility and quality.
· Prepare and maintain schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, test reports, and technical design documentation.
· Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of hardware design standards and processes. Required Skills & Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree (B.
E./B.
Tech) in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
· 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in PCB design and electronic hardware development.
· Strong understanding of electronic circuit principles and component-level circuit design.
· Proficiency in one or more PCB design tools, such as: o Altium Designer o KiCad o Autodesk EAGLE o Cadence or equivalent PCB design tools
· Experience with circuit simulation tools such as LTspice, Proteus, or equivalent.
· Strong practical experience in circuit debugging, hardware troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
· Knowledge of multi-layer PCB design, component placement, routing, grounding, and design rule checks.
· Understanding of EMI/EMC filtering, noise reduction, signal integrity, power integrity, and heat dissipation.
· Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, component datasheets, application notes,
and technical specifications.
· Knowledge of PCB design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testing (DFT).
· Experience supporting prototype assembly, hardware bring-up, and board-level testing.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
· Experience with analog, digital, mixed-signal, RF, or power electronics design.
· Hands-on experience in reverse engineering existing PCBs and electronic products.
· Familiarity with microcontrollers, embedded hardware, and firmware integration.
· Exposure to firmware development, embedded systems, or hardware–software integration projects.
· Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and other electronic test equipment.
· Familiarity with thermal analysis, advanced circuit simulation, and EMI/EMC testing.
· Experience in industrial automation, machinery, packaging equipment, or manufacturing environments.
· Relevant professional certifications are an added advantage. What We Are Looking For We are looking for a practical, hands-on engineer who is comfortable working in an R&D; environment and taking ownership of electronic hardware development. The ideal candidate should be able to:
· Translate functional requirements into working electronic circuits and PCB designs.
· Independently debug circuit-level and board-level issues.
· Analyze existing hardware and reverse engineer circuits when required.
· Identify design weaknesses and implement effective improvements.
· Build, test, validate, and refine hardware prototypes.
· Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop reliable and manufacturable products. The ability to design, debug, and reverse engineer electronic circuits is especially important for this role.
