About the role
You’ll lead the cricket preparation, coaching and match performance of a KPL franchise team. Working closely with the captain, coaching staff and analysts, you’ll establish a clear playing approach, prepare the squad for competition and support each player’s development. You’ll bring young players together into a confident, disciplined team and lead them through a demanding tournament schedule.

Key responsibilities
• Develop the team’s game plan: Establish the playing style, tournament strategy and transparent roles for each player.
• Prepare for each match: Work with analysts and coaching staff on opposition analysis, match-ups, pitch conditions and tactical plans.
• Select the playing XI: Make selection decisions based on form, readiness, conditions and opposition.
• Support squad building: Contribute player assessments and recommendations to help create a balanced squad.
• Lead the support team:



Coordinate specialist coaches, analysts, strength and conditioning staff and medical colleagues around one plan.
• Develop players: Provide individual coaching, regular feedback and technical, tactical and mental preparation.
• Work with the captain: Build a strong partnership that connects preparation with decisions on the field.
• Manage workloads: Coordinate training, recovery and player readiness with fitness and medical staff.
• Build team culture: Create a positive, inclusive environment with clear expectations, strong communication and appropriate safeguarding practices.
• Review performance: Use match footage, available data and player feedback to improve preparation and delivery. What you'll bring
• A Level 2 or above cricket coaching qualification from BCCI, ACB, ECB or ICC.
• At least five years of cricket coaching experience.
• Experience preparing and leading teams in competitive cricket.
• Strong tactical understanding and confidence making selection decisions.
• Experience coordinating specialist coaches and support staff.
• The ability to use video and performance analysis to inform coaching.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, particularly when working with young players.
• An understanding of safeguarding, player welfare and workload management. Experience in franchise cricket or short-format tournaments would be an advantage.
