About the Role
We are seeking a Social Media Strategist to lead the thinking behind our social media function. This role is primarily strategic: you will define the content direction for our client brands, generate the ideas, and guide the social media team in executing them. You will also oversee publishing and ensure that what goes live is consistent, on-brand and performance-driven.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop end-to-end social media strategies for client brands, aligned with brand goals and target audiences.
• Lead ideation for static creatives, carousels, reels and short-form content, and define the creative concept and direction for each.
• Provide clear creative briefs to designers, video editors and copywriters, and review output for quality and brand consistency.
• Build and own monthly content calendars and content pillars for each brand.
• Guide and mentor the social media team on strategy, content quality and best practices.
• Manage content scheduling and posting across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Track and analyse performance (reach, engagement, saves, shares, follower growth) and convert insights into improved strategy.
• Monitor platform trends, formats and cultural moments, and translate them into relevant content ideas.
• Present strategies,



content plans and performance reports to clients and internal leadership.
• Support community engagement to grow and nurture client brand audiences. Required Skills & Qualifications
• 3–6 years of experience in social media strategy, content strategy or social media management (agency experience preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to build content strategies that deliver measurable results; a portfolio of work is required.
• Strong ideation skills, with a proven record of conceptualising static creatives and short-form content.
• Sound understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, including audience behaviour, formats and algorithms.
• Strong copywriting and storytelling ability.
• Proficiency in reading analytics and applying insights to strategy.
• Experience briefing and coordinating with designers and video editors.
• Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple brands and deadlines without compromising quality.
• Working knowledge of Canva, Meta Business Suite and scheduling tools. Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience leading or mentoring a social media or content team.
• Basic video editing or content-shooting skills.
• Experience across multiple industries and brand categories.
