Role Description The Tekla Modeler (AISC) & Senior Detailer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Chennai Area. In this position, the team member will create and manage 3D models in Tekla Structures following AISC standards, producing accurate shop and erection drawings for structural steel projects. The role involves reviewing design drawings and specifications, coordinating with engineers and project managers, and resolving detailing issues to ensure constructability and compliance with project requirements. The Tekla Modeler & Senior Detailer will check and verify model accuracy, perform clash detection, and support fabrication and installation teams with clear,



timely documentation. Day-to-day work includes maintaining drawing logs, adhering to quality and safety standards, and participating in project meetings to support schedules and deliverables. Qualifications
• Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures modeling and detailing for structural steel, with practical experience applying AISC standards.
• Experience interpreting structural and architectural drawings, including steel and concrete design, steel and rebar detailing, and fabrication shop drawings.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate erection and shop drawings, perform clash detection, and coordinate details with engineering and project teams.
• Understanding of construction and fabrication workflows, including common connections, materials, tolerances, and industry detailing practices.
• Relevant technical education such as a diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced project setting.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers, project managers, fabricators, and site teams.
• Familiarity with other detailing or CAD tools and basic knowledge of codes and standards beyond AISC is an advantage.
