Role Description The Student Librarian is a full-time, on-site role based in The Nilgiris, supporting the daily operations of the school library and learning resource center. This role involves assisting with cataloging and organizing books and digital resources, maintaining accurate records, and helping users locate and access materials. The Student Librarian will support library instruction sessions, promote effective use of reference tools, and help create a welcoming, orderly study environment. Responsibilities also include helping to manage circulation processes, shelving and preserving materials,



and collaborating with educators to support classroom and project-based learning. The role offers hands-on experience in library services while contributing directly to the school’s academic and community life. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess foundational knowledge or strong interest in Library Science and Library Services.
• Candidates should possess skills in Library Management, including cataloging, shelving, and basic collection organization.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with Metadata concepts and resource classification systems.
• Candidates should possess an interest or experience in Library Instruction, supporting users in information literacy and research skills.
• Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time effectively.
