This role owns end-to-end delivery of engineering projects within scope, ensuring high-quality, timely completion in compliance with aerospace and regulatory standards. Work location Bangalore, India.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Execution
• Independently execute complete reverse engineering and FAA-PMA development projects, including input analysis, dimensional/material characterization, design development, prototyping, validation, and final release.
• Interpret technical specifications and define required engineering activities, deliverables, and documentation across all phases of development.
• Perform hands-on metrology and reverse engineering using tools such as calipers, gauges, VMM, and 3D scanning to establish dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
• Define and execute tests to determine material properties and validate functional and performance requirements. Design & Development
• Develop 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings, applying GD&T;, DFM, tolerance stack-up analysis, and aerospace design principles (materials, loading, fatigue, corrosion).
• Prepare and manage engineering documentation including BOMs, specifications, ATPs, qualification plans, and test reports.
• Ensure designs meet customer, regulatory, and AS9100 quality requirements. Project Ownership
• Plan, estimate,
and manage personal deliverables to ensure timely completion of drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Coordinate design reviews and approvals with relevant stakeholders.
• Drive sourcing activities including supplier interactions, RFQs, technical clarifications, and prototype procurement. Validation & Manufacturing Support
