- Junior Global Level: GL-05 or GL-06 Job Family/Function: Digital & Technology / Software Engineering Overview of Position: We are hiring a Junior Full-Stack Engineer with 2-3 years of hands-on experience to build, test, and maintain scalable web applications on a modern Java and React stack. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional team members to develop responsive user interfaces, robust backend RESTful microservices, and efficient database solutions. The ideal candidate possesses strong core foundational skills across frontend and backend technologies, a keen eye for code quality, and an eager learning mindset to grow within a collaborative Agile environment. Must-Have Technologies: React, Java 17+, Python, Microservices, AWS/Azure, RDBMS, NoSQL

Key Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using Java (Spring Boot) on the backend and React on the frontend.
· Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces from UI/UX designs and wireframes.
· Implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and database queries across relational (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL platforms.
· Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established engineering best practices.
· Participate actively in peer code reviews, sprint planning, and daily Agile standups.
· Write effective unit and integration tests using frameworks such as Jest, JUnit, and Mockito to ensure robust code quality.
· Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving application bug reports and performance issues.
· Work with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes to release application updates in cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
· Collaborate with senior engineers, product owners, and QA teams to clarify requirements and deliver sprint goals on time.



Required Knowledge &

Skills:
Technical
· 2-3 years of hands-on software development experience with core focus on modern Java full-stack development.
· Working proficiency with Java frameworks, specifically Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA.
· Hands-on experience building web application interfaces using React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and Node.js/npm ecosystem.
· Solid understanding of responsive design concepts, CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap), and REST API integration in React.
· Proficiency with Python for scripting, basic backend automation, or data handling tasks.
· Understanding of microservices architecture principles and basic familiarity with messaging tools (e.g., Kafka or RabbitMQ).
· Hands-on experience writing and optimizing SQL queries, working with relational databases (PostgreSQL/SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
· Basic experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
· Familiarity with web application security fundamentals (e.g., CORS, JWT, OAuth 2.0 concepts).
· Experience with automated testing tools (JUnit, Jest, React Testing Library) and commitment to writing testable code.
· Familiarity with Git version control, branch management, and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps).
· Familiarity with Agile development workflows using Jira or similar tools. Soft Skills & Professional Qualities
