Description

The Manager will head the RecordtoReport function for the Insurance L&A; segment, overseeing all aspects of monthend closing, journal entry processing, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role requires close collaboration with actuarial, underwriting, and claims teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information while driving continuous improvement and compliance within the organization.

Responsibilities

Oversee Record-to-Report (RTR) processes for the insurance business.

Manage monthend closing activities ensuring timely completion.

Supervise preparation and posting of journal entries.

Perform and review account reconciliations.

Consolidate and present monthend financial reports.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies.

Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.

Coordinate with crossfunctional teams (actuarial, underwriting, claims).





Mentor and develop junior staff.

Monitor key performance indicators and provide insights to senior management.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CA/CPA preferred.

Minimum 10 years’ experience in RTR within an insurance organization.

Strong knowledge of monthend close, journal entries, and reconciliations.

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.

Understanding of insurance accounting standards (IFRS 17, local GAAP).

Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.

Ability to lead a team and manage stakeholder expectations.

Effective communication and presentation abilities.

Detailoriented with robust organizational skills.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
