We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with advanced expertise in Apache Hadoop to join our engineering team. This role goes beyond standard Hadoop administration. We require a candidate with a deep technical understanding of Hadoop, capable of troubleshooting complex issues, analyzing source code, applying patches, and modifying Hadoop open-source code when necessary.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain Java applications and platform components.
- Troubleshoot complex Hadoop issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Investigate problems at Hadoop source-code level.
- Develop/apply patches and build customised Hadoop components when required.
- Support and improve the existing Hadoop installed base.
- Automate deployment, configuration and infrastructure activities.
- Work across development,



platform engineering and CI/CD.

Skills Must have

- Strong Java development skills.
- Advanced Apache Hadoop knowledge, beyond administration and usage.
- Ability to read, debug and modify Hadoop source code.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex distributed systems.
- Solid Linux knowledge.
- Git and CI/CD experience.
