Recently, KPI Green Energys subsidiary executed an agreement with GUVNL for 445 MW / 890 MWh of standalone BESS projects, marking a significant step in the Groups energy-storage business.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Define and execute the R&D; roadmap and own system architecture across EMS applications, embedded/edge controllers, firmware, cloud services and data platforms.
- Lead development of BESS energy management and control solutions, including controller-to-cloud integration, telemetry, alarms, monitoring and device/fleet management.
- Oversee industrial connectivity and integration with PLCs,



SCADA and ERP/MES systems; guide analytics, AI/ML and digital-twin initiatives.
- Establish engineering governance: requirements traceability, V&V;, CI/CD, DevSecOps, release management, FAT/SAT and commissioning support.
- Embed cybersecurity, safety, compliance and reliability practices across embedded, OT and cloud layers.
- Recruit, develop and retain engineering managers and technical leaders; manage budgets, vendors and delivery commitments.
- Partner with Product, Sales, Operations and Service teams; support customer solution discussions, demos and escalations.

Desired Candidate Profile

- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or Computer Science; 15+ years of experience with significant leadership responsibility.
- Robust hands-on programming in C/C++ and Python, plus Java or Go based on backend architecture experience.
- Hands-on experience with MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP, REST APIs and SQL databases.
- Previous experience working with cloud code designing, developing and deploying software on cloud platforms.
- Proven record of leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering embedded, EMS, IoT or industrial automation products from concept to deployment.
- Good to have: BESS/BMS/power systems/smart grid exposure; RTOS/microcontrollers; time-series data and containerization; AI/ML and predictive maintenance; MES/smart factory; Profinet, EtherNet/IP; OT/ICS cybersecurity.
