URGENT REQUIREMENT - LOCUM OPHTHALMOLOGIST

Location: MIDC, Andheri, Mumbai, Maharashtra

Role: Locum Ophthalmologist - Eye Screening Camps

Duty Schedule

- Timing: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Frequency: 2-3 days per week
- Employment Type: Part-Time / Locum Duty

Qualification

- MBBS with MS / DNB / DO in Ophthalmology
- Valid registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council or National Medical Commission

Experience

- 4-5 years of post-qualification experience
- Experience in community eye care or screening camps preferred

Role Summary

The Ophthalmologist will provide specialist eye care during community screening camps, including diagnosis, treatment planning, clinical guidance and referral of patients requiring further evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose eye conditions.
- Assess patients identified during screening camps and recommend appropriate treatment.
- Advise on surgical intervention, follow-up care and referrals when required.
- Provide clinical guidance to optometrists and field teams.
- Support community eye screening and awareness activities.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols,



quality standards and ethical practices.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to project reporting.
- Coordinate with referral hospitals and partner healthcare facilities.

Candidate Requirements

- Solid clinical and diagnostic skills in ophthalmology.
- Good patient communication and counselling abilities.
- Experience in community-based eye care preferred.
- Mumbai residence is mandatory.
- Availability for 2-3 days per week as per the camp schedule.

Locum Fees: Negotiable, based on experience and availability.
