Junior Research Analyst

About the Role:

We are looking for a Junior Research Analyst who can look at a business, understand its basic economics, and weigh the probabilities. We care about facts, cash flows, margins, and intellectual honesty. Your daily job will be to sift through the noise, figure out what a business is actually doing, and actively try to prove our internal hypotheses wrong.

Key Responsibilities:

- Run our daily quantitative screens to identify businesses that are growing their earnings and maintaining an unleveraged Return on Equity.
- Read the annual reports and conduct strict cash flow reconciliation specifically matching reported net profits directly against actual Free Cash Flow.
- Monitor baseline corporate governance by checking for Related Party Transactions and evaluating management's capital allocation history.
- Track structural volume accumulation and relative strength baselines for our active watch-lists.
- Practice intellectual humility. We expect you to constantly test our internal ideas and try to prove us wrong using basic facts and data.

Requirements:





- 0 to 2 years of experience. Freshers who know how to think rationally are welcome.
- A degree in Science/Engineering, an MBA in Finance, CFA (Level 1 cleared),or CA (Prelim/Inter qualified).
- Crucial - Multidisciplinary Thinking & Mathematics: You must have a deep, practical grasp of probability, likelihood, ratio and proportion, mixtures, and baseline statistics. Furthermore, exposure to concepts like time series analysis and easy harmonic motion is highly valued. We need analysts who can draw mental models from various disciplines to properly evaluate business realities.
- Proficiency in Excel. Any knowledge of Python or basic data scraping is a helpful bonus.
- The ability to decouple your ego from an investment thesis and look at data without getting emotional about a stock.
