Job Summary

We are looking for a Full-stack Engineer (front-end focussed) at EY GDS. You will work on designing and implementing modern web applications with a focus on front-end development using Angular or React.js with TypeScript. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, deploy, and manage scalable back-end services, APIs, and database integrations that meet business needs and leverage best practices in full-stack development and cloud technologies.

Your key responsibilities

- Front-End Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using React, TypeScript and Java-based technologies.
- API Integration: Work with REST APIs and GraphQL services for data integration.
- Back-End Development: Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- CI/CD Management: Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Technology Updates: Stay updated with emerging web technologies and apply best practices in performance and security.

Skills and attributes for success

Required Skills

- 4+ years of experience in full-stack application development with strong expertise in React and Java technologies.
- Strong hands-on experience with React.js , TypeScript , and modern front-end development practices.
- Deep understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+) , responsive design, and browser compatibility.
- Experience with state management libraries, component-driven architecture, reusable UI development, and front-end performance optimization.
- Strong proficiency in Core Java (Java 8+)



and object-oriented programming principles.
- Hands-on experience with Multithreading , Concurrency , Collections Framework , Java Streams , and Functional Programming concepts.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming using CompletableFuture , Executor Framework , and Thread Pools .
- Good knowledge of JVM internals , memory management, garbage collection, and performance tuning.
- Extensive experience in developing enterprise applications using Spring Boot , Spring MVC , and Spring Data JPA .
- Experience in designing and developing Microservices-based architectures .
- Strong understanding of RESTful Web Services , API design standards, and integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience implementing application security using OAuth2 , JWT , and role-based access controls.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB , or similar technologies.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins , or equivalent.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes .
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure , AWS , or GCP .
- Strong proficiency with Git and contemporary source control practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

- Domain: Prior experience in the Financial Services / FS Risk domain.
- Agile Methodologies : Familiarity with Agile development practices and methodologies.
