Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced DBT Analytics Engineer with robust expertise in data modelling, dbt, and Snowflake. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Kimball dimensional modelling and the ability to transform complex legacy data into reliable, scalable, and business-friendly analytical models.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop dimensional data models using the Kimball methodology, including fact tables, dimension tables, and star/snowflake schemas.

- Build, maintain, and optimize scalable dbt models in Snowflake.

- Transform complex, unnormalized legacy data into a reliable single source of truth.

- Implement data quality tests, documentation, and data lineage to ensure data reliability and transparency.

- Optimize SQL queries and analytical models for performance and scalability.

- Collaborate with reporting analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective data models.

- Communicate modelling decisions, code changes, and downstream impacts clearly to relevant stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5-7 years of experience in data warehousing, analytics engineering, or data modelling.





- Strong expertise in Kimball dimensional modelling, including:

- Star and snowflake schemas

- Fact and dimension tables

- Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) Types 1 and 2

- Hands-on experience with dbt Core and/or dbt Cloud, including models, tests, incremental models, documentation, and Jinja.

- Active dbt Analytics Engineering Certification from dbt Labs is mandatory.

- Strong experience with Snowflake, advanced SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.

- Experience handling complex business logic, unnormalized datasets, and cross-system data integration.

- Strong technical communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working with ERP, financial, accounting, payroll, or HCM data.

- Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Deltek, or CMiC.
