Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced and safety-conscious Truck Driver to operate and handle electric trucks for the transportation of materials in and around Jharsuguda, Odisha. The candidate should have a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving licence, experience in handling electric vehicles, and knowledge of EV operating procedures, battery monitoring, charging, and safety protocols.

1. Key ResponsibilitiesOperate electric trucks safely for the transportation of goods and materials as per the assigned schedule.
2. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including tyres, brakes, lights, dashboard indicators, battery status, and warning signals.
3. Monitor battery charge levels, vehicle range, and energy consumption to ensure efficient operations.
4. Operate EV charging equipment as per company procedures and follow charging safety protocols.
5. Plan trips based on vehicle range, battery availability, load, and charging requirements.
6. Follow safe driving practices, speed limits, traffic rules, and company safety guidelines.
7. Check the vehicle for abnormal warnings, overheating, unusual noises, or other operational issues and report them immediately.
8. Ensure the protected loading and transportation of materials within the permitted vehicle load capacity.
9. Maintain trip sheets,



kilometre readings, charging records, energy consumption details, and delivery documents.
10. Coordinate with the transport supervisor and charging station personnel regarding vehicle allocation, charging schedules, and trip completion.
11. Park and secure the vehicle in designated areas and follow emergency procedures in case of an EV-related incident.
12. Report accidents, breakdowns, battery warnings, charging issues, and vehicle damage promptly.
13. Ensure the vehicle's required permits, insurance, fitness certificates, and other documents remain valid.
14. Follow all company safety procedures and instructions while handling electric commercial vehicles.

- Educational QualificationMinimum 10th Standard pass preferred.
- Basic reading and documentation skills.
- Experience2–5 years of truck driving experience preferred.
- Experience operating electric commercial vehicles or electric trucks will be an added advantage.
- Experience in industrial transportation or plant logistics is preferred.
- Required Skills and CompetenciesValid HMV driving licence appropriate for the assigned electric truck.
- Knowledge of electric truck operations and dashboard indicators.
- Basic understanding of battery range, charging procedures, and energy consumption.
- Awareness of EV charging safety and emergency response procedures.
- Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle inspection.
- Responsible, punctual, and safety-conscious approach.
