Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain Mainframe applications.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and support applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
- Perform code reviews, debugging, and production support activities.
- Execute batch processing and optimize JCL workflows.
- Work closely with business analysts, architects, and testing teams.
- Investigate and resolve application and performance issues.
- Participate in system integration, deployment, and release activities.
- Create technical documentation and maintain coding standards.
- Support modernization and migration initiatives involving Mainframe systems.

Required Skills

Mainframe Technologies

- Robust experience in COBOL




- Hands-on experience with JCL (Job Control Language)
- Experience with CICS
- Strong knowledge of DB2
- VSAM file handling
- Mainframe utilities such as IDCAMS, SORT, File Aid, Expeditor

Development & Support

- Program design, coding, testing, and debugging
- Production support and incident management
- Batch processing and scheduling tools
- Root cause analysis and troubleshooting

Tools & Platforms

- IBM z/OS
- TSO/ISPF
- Endevor, Changeman, or similar source management tools
- Control-M or equivalent scheduling tools
