Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented EM IP & OP / EM OP Specialty Coding Specialist with 1-3 years of hands-on experience in Evaluation & Management (E&M;) coding. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing medical records and accurately assigning ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and E&M; codes for Inpatient (IP), Outpatient (OP), and Specialty encounters while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and payer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and analyze medical records, physician notes, and clinical documentation for accurate code assignment.
- Assign appropriate E&M;, ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for Inpatient, Outpatient, and Specialty services.
- Ensure compliance with CMS, AMA, payer-specific, and client-specific coding guidelines.
- Identify documentation gaps and communicate with providers or relevant teams for clarification.




- Maintain productivity and quality standards as defined by organizational requirements.
- Participate in coding audits, quality reviews, and process improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with coding updates, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
- Support internal and external audit requirements and implement corrective actions as needed.

Required Qualifications

- 1-3 years of experience in EM IP & OP Coding or EM OP Specialty Coding.
- Robust knowledge of:
- Evaluation & Management (E&M;) Coding
- ICD-10-CM
- CPT and HCPCS Coding
- Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology

- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet quality and productivity targets.

Mandatory Certification

Candidates must possess at least one active certification from the following:

- CPC (Certified Professional Coder)
- CRC (Certified Risk Adjustment Coder)
- CCS (Certified Coding Specialist)

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 Days Preferred.

Application Requirement: Candidates without a valid CPC, CRC, or CCS certification will not be considered.
