Nursery Teacher Job Description

Position: Nursery Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and conduct engaging activities for nursery-level children.
- Create a secure, positive, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Teach basic concepts such as alphabets, numbers, colours, shapes, rhymes, and general awareness.
- Use play-based, creative, and interactive teaching methods.
- Monitor and assess children’s learning, development, and behaviour.
- Encourage social, emotional, and communication skills among children.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure the safety and well-being of students.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding the child’s progress and development.
- Participate in school events, activities, celebrations, and other academic initiatives.
- Maintain necessary classroom records and documentation.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree with NTT / Montessori / ECCE or relevant teaching qualification preferred.
- Prior experience in nursery/pre-primary teaching is preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with young children.
- Creative, patient, caring, and energetic approach.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively.
