We are looking for an MIS Executive who has worked inside a garment factory and knows how production data flows from cutting to dispatch. All our reporting is in Excel. This is not a data analyst or SQL role; we need someone who understands garment operations and can own our MIS end to end.

What Your Journey Will Look Like

Phase 1 – Take Over and Understand (First 1–2 months)

- Take handover from the current MIS person
- Understand where every data point comes from (Merchandising, Stores, Cutting, Sewing, Finishing, Quality, Packing, Dispatch, HR)
- Learn the clean-ups needed for each source’s data
- Identify the right contact person in each department for clarifications
- Run the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and half-yearly reports without breaks

Phase 2 – Ensure Accuracy

- Review the accuracy of data received from each department
- Set up cross-verification checks between sources (e.g. cutting qty vs. sewing input, packed qty vs. dispatch, attendance vs. line manpower)
- Flag mismatches and get them corrected at the source

Phase 3 – Improve the Reports

- Enrich existing reports with better insights for management
- Make Excel reports faster, cleaner and less manual

Future Growth

As the role matures,



it will move towards pulling data directly from ERP, automating reports, and defining which report goes to whom and when. You will grow with this.

Must Have

- 2–5 years of MIS experience in a garment / apparel manufacturing unit (mandatory)
- Solid knowledge of garment production flow and terms: SAM, line efficiency, WIP, DHU, rejection %, cut-to-ship ratio, OTD
- Expert in Excel: Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, IF, data validation, conditional formatting
- Comfortable coordinating with production supervisors and department heads on the shop floor
- Very high attention to accuracy
- Can meet daily end-of-day deadlines

Good to Have

- Excel Macros
- Experience with garment data points

Not a fit: Candidates without garment factory experience, or whose experience is only in SQL / Power BI / data analytics.

Shortlisted candidates will take a practical Excel test based on garment production data. Immediate joiners preferred.
