Job Description

LUMENS INDIA is looking for an experienced Merchant / Senior Merchandiser with expertise in leather goods manufacturing, including bags, wallets, and small leather goods (SLG). The candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, coordinating sample development and bulk production, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining customer satisfaction.

- Key ResponsibilitiesManage customer orders end-to-end, from sample development to bulk production and final delivery.
- Ensure timely and error-free delivery of New Product Development (NPD) and bulk orders.
- Coordinate with Design, Sampling, Production, Purchase, and other departments to meet customer requirements and delivery timelines.
- Maximise the conversion of sample orders into bulk production orders.
- Manage customer accounts and develop long-term business relationships.
- Prepare and share customer feedback reports for NPD and bulk orders, ensuring timely corrective actions.




- Verify costing and identify cost-saving opportunities for outside job work.
- Monitor order progress, production schedules, and delivery commitments.
- Maintain accurate order records, MIS reports, and documentation using ERP systems and MS Excel.
- Identify opportunities to improve ERP systems and internal workflows.
- Ensure effective communication with customers and internal teams throughout the order execution process.
- Required SkillsStrong knowledge of leather goods merchandising, including bags, wallets, and SLG.
- Experience in sample development, product costing, and bulk production follow-up.
- Excellent customer communication and relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of order management, delivery planning, and production coordination.
- Experience in vendor coordination and outside job work cost verification.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple orders and meet delivery deadlines.
- Eligibility CriteriaGraduate or Diploma in Fashion, Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in merchandising within a manufacturing setup.
- Experience in leather goods manufacturing, particularly bags, wallets, and small leather goods (SLG), is preferred.
