Role & responsibilities

Technical Requirements

1. Backend Development

- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js.
- Experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of backend architecture, authentication, authorization, and API security.
- Ability to troubleshoot existing backend applications and implement new features.

2. Frontend Development

- Proficiency in React.js and JavaScript.
- Experience developing responsive web interfaces and admin dashboards.
- Ability to integrate frontend components with backend APIs.
- Experience maintaining and improving existing website functionality and performance.

3. Database Management

- Practical experience with MongoDB and MongoDB Atlas.
- Understanding of databases, collections, documents, queries, and data modelling.
- Experience implementing CRUD operations (Create, Read, Update, Delete).
- Knowledge of database security, indexing, backup, and performance optimization.

4. AWS Cloud Services

- Hands-on experience with Amazon S3 for storing and managing PDF reports, preview

images, documents, and other website files.

- Experience integrating S3 storage with backend applications.
- Understanding of file uploads, secure file access, bucket permissions, and IAM.




- Familiarity with Amazon SES for application email delivery is preferred.

5. Hosting, Deployment & DevOps

- Practical experience deploying and maintaining applications on DigitalOcean Droplets or

App Platform.

- Experience with Linux server management, application configuration, deployment, and

troubleshooting.

- Understanding of workplace variables, server security, SSL certificates, backups, and

application monitoring.

- Familiarity with Git, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and enhance the existing Researchinfo website and admin dashboard.
- Develop and maintain backend APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
- Build and improve frontend functionality using React.js.
- Manage application data and integrations with MongoDB Atlas.
- Maintain AWS S3 integration for PDF research reports, preview images, and other files.
- Troubleshoot issues across the frontend, backend, database, and cloud infrastructure.
- Maintain application deployments and server configurations on DigitalOcean.
- Improve application performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
- Maintain code documentation and ensure proper version control and backup practices.
