Role Description The Textile Merchandiser is a full-time, in office role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for managing orders from inquiry to dispatch and maintaining strong buyer relationships. Day-to-day activities include coordinating with design, production, and quality teams to develop samples, confirm specifications, and ensure timely execution of bulk orders. The role involves handling costings, preparing quotations, tracking order status, and maintaining accurate records of styles, assortments, and shipment schedules.

Merchandiser also works closely with customers to understand requirements, manage approvals,



proactively resolve issues, and support continuous improvement in product range and service levels.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with buyers and internal teams, and to handle queries and concerns professionally.
- Candidates should possess Sales and Retail skills to understand buyer needs, support order acquisition, and contribute to category performance and repeat business.
- Candidates should possess Marketing skills to help present collections, interpret market trends, and support positioning of products across different regions.
- Sound knowledge of textiles (woven or knitted fabrics, printing, dyeing, finishing) and home furnishings, with the ability to read and interpret technical specifications.
- Experience in merchandising, export documentation, or order management within a textile or apparel environment is highly beneficial.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities, including proficiency in MS Office and basic data analysis for tracking orders and performance.
- Graduate degree in textiles, fashion, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in textile merchandising.
