Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Testing Engineer to perform routine, type, and other applicable electrical tests on Current Transformers (CT) and Potential/Voltage Transformers (PT/VT). The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, accuracy, reliability, and compliance with applicable IS/IEC standards and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine testing of CT and PT/VT transformers as per approved test procedures.
- Conduct tests such as:
- Insulation Resistance (IR) Test
- Winding Resistance Test
- Ratio Test
- Polarity Test
- Accuracy Test
- Excitation / Knee Point Test, wherever applicable
- Burden and Phase Angle Error Test
- Power Frequency Withstand / High Voltage (HV) Test
- Partial Discharge Test, wherever applicable

- Operate and maintain electrical testing equipment and instruments.
- Verify test results against approved drawings, specifications,



and applicable IS/IEC standards.
- Prepare and maintain test reports, inspection records, and quality documentation.
- Identify testing failures, investigate root causes, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Design departments to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures during testing activities.
- Support calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or
- BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of Current Transformers (CT) and Potential/Voltage Transformers (PT/VT).
- Understanding of electrical measurements and transformer testing procedures.
- Familiarity with applicable IS/IEC standards, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Ability to analyze test results and prepare accurate test reports.
- Valuable troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices.
