Role Description The State Head role at SMIFS Limited is a full-time, on-site leadership position based in Raipur, responsible for driving business growth and brand presence across the state.
The State
Head will oversee regional sales and distribution, manage branch operations, and ensure consistent delivery of SMIFS’s wealth management and financial services offerings. Daily responsibilities include leading and mentoring local teams, setting and monitoring performance targets, and building robust relationships with clients, partners, and intermediaries. The role involves collaborating with central leadership on strategy execution,
ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance standards, and identifying new market opportunities.
The State
Head will also contribute to local marketing initiatives, represent SMIFS in key forums, and uphold the firm’s client-first and ethics-driven culture.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in financial services, wealth management, or capital markets, with a track record of achieving business growth targets at a regional or state level.
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities, including team building, performance management, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in client relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation, with the ability to work effectively with HNIs, corporates, and institutional clients.
- Sound understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to securities, insurance, and investment products, and commitment to ethical business practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market trends, develop action plans, and make data-informed decisions.
- Prior experience managing multi-branch operations or state-level business units, preferably within a brokerage, wealth management, or financial advisory environment.
- High level of self-motivation, ownership, and adaptability, with readiness to travel within the state as required.
