Software Engineer – Embedded Linux & Onboard Systems

TSCLARITY SYSTEMS PRIVATE LIMITED is looking for a Software Engineer to develop onboard software for advanced EO/IR, embedded compute, and gimbal systems used in defence and aerospace applications.

RoleThe engineer will work on low-level Linux integration, camera interfaces, real-time video pipelines, AI acceleration, gimbal control, and embedded user interfaces on NVIDIA-based compute platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and integrate camera drivers and sensor interfaces
- Perform Linux customization, kernel configuration, and board-level software integration
- Modify and debug Device Tree / Device Tree Overlays
- Develop applications in C/C++ and Python
- Build Qt / QML based embedded user interfaces
- Develop and optimize video capture, processing, encoding, decoding, recording, and streaming pipelines
- Work with GStreamer, V4L2, NVIDIA multimedia APIs, CUDA and DeepStream
- Integrate and optimize AI models on NVIDIA Jetson / Orin hardware
- Develop software for gimbal control, tracking, stabilization, telemetry, and peripheral communication
- Interface with UART, CAN, I²C, SPI, USB, Ethernet and other embedded peripherals




- Perform system debugging, performance profiling, latency optimization, and field validation
- Support complete onboard software integration from hardware bring-up to production release

- Required Skills

- Solid C / C++ programming
- Working knowledge of Python
- Strong understanding of Linux and embedded Linux
- Experience with camera drivers, V4L2, Device Tree, kernel modules or BSP integration
- Experience with GStreamer / FFmpeg / video pipelines
- Understanding of H.264 / H.265 encoding and decoding
- Familiarity with Qt / QML
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

- PreferredExperience with NVIDIA Jetson / Orin | CUDA | DeepStream | TensorRT | OpenCV | GStreamer | V4L2 | MIPI CSI-2 | RTSP | MAVLink | CAN | Gimbal Control | AI Tracking | Computer Vision

QualificationB.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech – Computer Science, ECE, EEE, Embedded Systems, or any related discipline

Experience: 0–4 years

Strong fresh graduates with relevant Linux, embedded, computer vision, or robotics projects may also apply.
