Role Description The Software Engineer Intern role at Bluebex is a full-time remote position focused on supporting the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing and testing code for back-end services, debugging issues, and collaborating with engineering team members on new features and enhancements. The intern will assist in reviewing technical requirements, implementing object-oriented designs, and contributing to code reviews and documentation.
The role also involves learning and applying best practices for software quality, performance, and security,
while participating in agile workflows such as stand-ups and sprint planning.
Qualifications
- Robust foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript).
- Knowledge of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to apply OOP principles to real-world projects.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical team members.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic software development workflows.
